Departures..

It has been a turbulent time recently.. highs, lows and sudden plummets that knock the wind out of your sails. The highs have been most rewarding.. and this came in the launching of Milly & Dottie's Emporium. a project that had been shared over the last year with my dear friend Kim and her alter ego Milly.. and one that finally came to fruition last weekend. We are both so grateful to all of you who have supported this new enterprise both with your generous comments and visits to the emporium.. it is very reassuring to know that there is still space out there for one more of these vintage shops and you have been so kind to welcome us in the spirit that you have.
Sadly the excitement has also been tempered by a bereavement in my family.. my beloved father in law passed away last weekend. He was a fine gentleman and will be sorely missed by his loving family. As one door closes.. another one opens...
I have been a woman of few words in recent weeks and will continue to be so for a while longer as I disappear off to the wilds of Cornwall to attend the Home Spun Fair. I am so looking forward to meeting up with fellow blogging friends and putting some of the last few weeks behind us.
Do drop in to the emporium if you are passing... we are re-stocking the shelves frequently so you might find something you missed on your last visit.
A bientot..
Michele x

Very sorry to hear your sad news. love to your family. I have been meaning to write to say I think your site is really really great, very professional, it has a warm feeling about it - I am so impressed with the design - the idea of a house is genius - it is well stocked and at great prices. I for one will be calling in regularly!

So sorry to hear your sad news, my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad, sad time.

My new puppy loves my little four wheeled friend and tries to take it 'walkies'. Unfortunately, she has also tried to savage the gorgeous rag doll I got from Nicki at the Fair!!

Much training ahead, me thinks..lol.

Hello Michele

So sorry to read about your family's loss. We all know it will happen one day but we never feel ready when the time comes. You will be in my prayers.

I wish that I could have gone but would not have been fair on Phoebe and Alan as we were on holiday then. Next year hopefully!

Congratulations on your brilliant new website, fantastic name for it! Although I have never met Kim, she seems really nice from the emails we have exchanged in the past months. I wish you both well with it.

Take care
Isabelle x

I wish I was able to be in England to attend your vintage and handmade fairs. I want to visit England someday, it's definitely on my list! Your blog is one of my favorites; the colors and vintage feeling is wonderful! Thank you!

Oh Michele, I didn't realise you had lost your Father in Law when I saw you at the Fair, I am so very sorry. Actually the real reason I was able to come was because we were scattering my Father in Law's ashes in his beloved Cornwall. I do empathise with your loss and the need to be strong for your husbands sake. My lovely boy has been so brave and good I am filled with pride. Sending you and yours lots of love, Sarah x
